Recently, the 220kV, 139km transmission line project for the San Gabán III Hydropower Station in Puno Province, southeastern Peru, was successfully shipped.
This project, based on the San Gabán II Hydropower Station, is the most downstream cascade hydropower station on the San Gabán River. With a total installed capacity of 209,300 kW, it will become Peru’s sixth-largest hydropower station upon completion, meeting the electricity needs of over one million people.
The project involves 6,690 tons of equipment and a contract value exceeding USD 9.3 million, marking it as a key initiative for Puno Province. Faced with tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and large-scale demands, the company assembled a dedicated project team to oversee every stage, from product design to production. Despite numerous challenges, the team completed the delivery on time with exceptional efficiency, earning high praise from both the project owner and contractors.
